Meringue

Homemade meringues are easier to make than it looks like!

servings: 60 / preparation time: 45 minutes

 

Ingredients:

1 cup egg whites

2 ½ cups confectioners’ sugar

 

Directions:

1 – Put the ingredients in a saucepan and stir until it begins to boil.

2 – Turn off the heat and transfer the eggs to the mixer, beating until very consistent, firm and shiny (like snow eggs).

3 – Using a pastry bag (or a plastic with a small hole at the tip), make meringues on a cookie sheet and bake in medium heat (300° F).

4 – Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes

 

Tips and Options:

  • Here is a very easy and delicious idea to use the meringue. In a serving bowl, combine chopped strawberries and other berries, whipped cream and meringues pieces (breaked with your hands).
