Brazilian Chocolate Candy (Brigadeiro)

The most famous Brazilian candy is a must have item at a birthday party.

Preparation time: 40 minutes



1 (14 oz) can sweet condensed milk

3 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa

1 tablespoon butter

chocolate sprinkles

mini baking cups



1 – Mix the three first ingredients in a pan and bring it to a medium heat.

2 – Keep stirring until it thickens enough that you can see the pan bottom.

3 – Pour into a plate (greased) and let it cool.

4 – Grease your hands and, using a teaspoon, take small portions and shape it into little balls.

5 – Roll the balls in chocolate sprinkle and place them in the mini baking cups.



  • Instead of chocolate sprinkles, you can use grated/shredded coconut, chocolate or nuts.
